- Pick up the phone
- Write a letter even if it is to your neighbour
- Join one of the many online activities - PE, Art, Quiz, Crafts etc. Most of which are free or require a small £2 donation for charity
- Have a virtual coffee morning
- Thursday at 8pm stand on your doorstep or wave from your window to join in thanking the frontline staff
- Volunteer (if you are able to) and join the NHS Volunteer Responders
- If you are on your walk for physical exercise keep an eye out for those that are self-isolating looking out of their windows and wave
- Learn a new skill
- Take time out if you have become a teacher to your children to enjoy them. Cooking or digging in the garden are life skills as much as learning your times tables.
- Most importantly be kind to others but also yourself. No one is prepared for this and we are all doing it the best way we can.
- There is help out there so do not feel alone. See our page COVID-19 Info
- Take care of your physical and mental health, there are plenty of tips online
- Post a letter through your nearby neighbours doors to see if they want to set up a small WhatsApp or similar group not just for asking for help but also to keep neighbours connected. (Always ensure you get permission to add people to a social media group). One of our groups in the parish have set each other challenges such as making window displays for neighbours to enjoy. An Easter theme maybe!
- Stay safe, follow Government Guidelines, stay connected (virtually), find at least one positive by the end of each day
